Alain Johnson

  • This week, two organizations issued two statements on kidnapping the journalist "Alian Johnson". Al-Mezan (Balance) Center for Human Rights in its statement denounced the incident and assumed Palestinian authority the responsibility and blame of not taking the necessary procedures to check out Johnson's place and release him. Also the statement of the Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (MADA) with solidarity with the first statement, denounced the assault done by the Prime Minister, Ismaeil Haneya's guards against some Palestinian journalists in Gaza, during their sit-in before the Prime Ministry's head quarter. They demanded releasing the journalist Johnson from the Palestinian kidnappers.

On the international level, a statement issued also by Amnesty International Organization, which relied this incident to the series of kidnapping and other violent process which returns to the non existence of laws in Gaza Strip. Amnesty also returns this to lack of punishment rules which the Palestinian government failed to prescribe it according to the power of law.
